Susanne Klaußner MRICS is a proven real estate expert and has been working in the industry for over 40 years. Since 2006, her focus has been on the local retail property segment. She co-founded DIR Deutsche Investment Retail GmbH, where she currently works, in 2019. Prior to that, he was Chairwoman of the Management Board (CEO) of GRR AG and the management board of GRR Real Estate Management GmbH until March 2019. She was responsible for strategy, real estate management, human resources and organization. Together with her team, she initiated and oversaw the development of the company's own portfolio and three local retail funds with a total of around EUR 1.5 billion in assets under management (approx. 400 properties). Susanne Klaußner previously worked at Sireo Real Estate GmbH, where she initially managed the Nuremberg branch and, from 2004, established and was responsible for property management for the Sireo funds.

As one of the leading female figures in the industry and the first female CEO, she was named Manager of the Year in the real estate industry at the 2015 Real Estate Women Summit. In addition, she is involved as an advisor to the German Council of Shopping Places, in the ZIA as a member of the ZIA-Süd board of directors, and initially as deputy chairwoman and, with effect from November 25, 2025, as chairwoman of the Trade Committee. She is also active as a lecturer at the IREBS Real Estate Academy, among others.
